Who Doesn’t Like a Good Cup of Coffee? |

I can’t speak for anyone, but for me there is nothing better than a great cup of coffee in the morning and after dinner. I’m one of the people that really enjoy his coffee especially if the coffee bean comes roasted to perfection. To name a few of my favorites, like the Sumatra, or a good Italian Roast, if you’re a coffee lover you will understand what I mean. While talking about coffee with another coffee lover, I right away started mentioning the different beans and roasts that I like, and almost instantly, that person saw how passionate I got when touching this subject of coffee. Here is when this person told me, trying to make a statement: “If we could only stay in the coffee shop all day, work and live here enjoying a good cup of coffee...” Right away I thought, I don’t want to do that, as much as I enjoy coffee, I need to go to work and most of all I love going home. These got me thinking that maybe this person was going thru some bad times or simply going thru a depression. I am not going to tell you that I don’t have problems and that my life is perfect. The fact of the matter is that we all have problems and some people more than others. There is not a special recipe for stress or depression, but one of the things that I have learned and that I am still learning is to deal with my issues in a way that is as painless as possible and with patience according to the circumstances as they may appear. Here is a story I found and made me reflect on the conversation I had with the individual at the coffee shop... “God's Coffee” A group of alumni, highly established in their careers, got together to visit their old university professor. Conversation soon turned into complaints about stress in work and life. Offering his guests coffee, the professor went to the kitchen and returned with a large pot of coffee and an assortment of cups - porcelain, plastic, glass, crystal, some plain looking, some expensive, some exquisite - telling them to help themselves to the coffee. When all the students had a cup of coffee in hand, the professor said: "If you noticed, all the ... |
